Senior Fraud Prevention Specialist (Advanced Analytics, SQL/Python)

Lead the design of fraud detection using advanced analytics, SQL, and Python.

At Global Blue, we process tens of millions of transactions annually. Our fraud prevention is fully data-driven, and we continuously evolve our detection capabilities — including adapting to emerging AI-driven threats.

This is a senior-level role focused on leading fraud detection methods and driving analytical decisions, not just executing predefined tasks.

What you’ll do?
• Lead the design and development of fraud detection methods and strategies
• Apply advanced analytical techniques (e.g. regression, clustering, anomaly detection) to identify fraud patterns
• Define, test, and optimize detection logic using SQL and Python
• Interpret complex analytical outputs and translate them into business decisions
• Investigate complex fraud cases and make independent decisions
• Present insights and influence stakeholders across the organization
• Share knowledge and guide less experienced colleagues

What we’re looking for?
• Degree in Mathematics or Statistics
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis / data science
• Strong SQL + Python (or R)
• Hands-on experience with statistical methods and analytical modeling
• Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong ownership, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• English B2+

Location: Slovakia (Hybrid working model: 1 day in the office after successful probation period)
