Are you ready to design and deliver smart, scalable solutions for a global leader? Freshfields is seeking a Solution Design Engineer to join our Business Process & Automation Team in Bratislava. You’ll play a pivotal role translating business needs into secure, innovative technology designs—working at the heart of our transformation journey.

What you’ll do:

- Engineer robust, end-to-end technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and platform principles.
- Turn business, functional, and non-functional requirements into actionable technical designs and specifications.
- Integrate AI and automation technologies (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath) into solution blueprints.
- Ensure solutions are secure, performant, scalable, and compliant in both cloud (Azure) and hybrid environments.
- Design modern APIs, integration patterns, and data flows in collaboration with engineers, DevOps, service management, and infrastructure teams.
- Act as a design authority within Agile delivery teams—supporting sprint planning, technical guidance, and continuous improvement.
- Produce high-quality design artefacts, maintain architectural governance, and keep up to date with emerging technology trends.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Solution Designer, Systems Analyst, Software Engineer, Application Architect, or AI/Automation Engineer.
- Proven ability to design and deliver enterprise-scale technology solutions.
- Hands-on experience with AI, automation, cloud-native design, or digital workflow modernisation.
- Working knowledge of software engineering practices (version control, CI/CD, code reviews) and relevant languages (C#, Python, JavaScript, SQL).
- Experience with APIs, REST, integration and data modelling; understanding of middleware, message queues (e.g., Kafka, Service Bus), and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Experience designing solutions that work with legacy systems, SaaS, and enterprise applications.
- Certifications such as TOGAF, Azure/GCP Architect, ITIL, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, Azure AI Engineer, UiPath, or Power Automate are an advantage.
