Operations & Sales Manager – Commercial & Operational Lead (Slovakia)

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

1. Transport Operations Management

- Lead the existing transport team: drivers, dispatchers, and administrative staff.

- Optimize route planning, fleet utilization, and legal compliance.

- Monitor and improve KPIs: load factor, delivery reliability, cost control, etc.

2. Warehousing Startup & Development

- Develop warehouse concept, select location, conduct investment analysis, and structure operations.

- Oversee the startup process: layout, WMS systems, staffing, and permits.

- Define the service portfolio (storage, order picking, value-added logistics, cross-docking).

3. Commercial Development

- Proactively prospect and acquire new clients for both transport and warehousing.

- Develop commercial strategies and annual growth plans.

- Maintain customer relationships and negotiate rates, SLAs, and contracts.

- Conduct market and competitor analysis to craft unique value propositions.

4. Financial Management & Reporting

- Monitor revenue targets and profitability per activity.

- Report to group management with data-driven optimization proposals.

- Prepare forecasts, budgets, and profitability analyses.

5. Quality, Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with local and EU regulations for transport and logistics.

- Implement procedures in line with quality standards.

- Ensure a safe work environment, especially during warehouse startup.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

Education & Experience

- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent by experience.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in transport management, preferably in an international setting.

- Experience in starting or expanding logistics services (warehouse or distribution center) is a strong asset.

- reporting skills in international business (reporting 1 month in person in Belgium)

Commercial Skills

- Strong networking and customer acquisition skills.

- Proven experience in securing logistics or transport clients.

- Ability to translate business cases into practical strategies

Personality & Skills

- Proactive self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.

- Hands-on, solution-oriented approach.

​Objectives within the First 12–18 Months​

- Achieve 5–7.5% revenue growth in the existing transport segment.

- Successfully launch a warehousing site with first operational clients.

- Acquire a minimum of 3 new clients for warehousing services.

- Build a high-performance logistics structure focused on quality, flexibility, and cost-efficiency.
