Cloud FinOps Specialist (m/f/n)

You will join the Cloud Cost & Availability delivery team based in Bratislava. The team collaborates closely with cloud engineering, analytics, finance controlling and business stakeholders. We promote a data-driven culture focused on transparency, ownership, and continuous optimization. Team members are encouraged to bring new ideas, improve processes, and help shape ESET’s Cloud FinOps practice.

##About the Role##

- Own and continuously improve cloud cost and usage monitoring processes.
- Analyze cloud cost and consumption data and provide actionable reporting to stakeholders.
- Manage cloud cost monitoring, automation, governance, and optimization activities.
- Drive Cloud FinOps best practices and financial accountability across cloud consumers.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for cloud services.
- Monitor cloud spending trends, budget consumption, and cost-related risks.
- Define, maintain, and report cloud financial KPIs.
- Identify and implement cloud cost optimization opportunities across Azure, AWS, and other cloud platforms.
- Present financial insights and recommendations to business and executive stakeholders.
- Support vendor management and cloud commercial optimization activities.

##Essential Requirements##

- University education.
- At least 3 years of experience in business, financial, or cloud cost analysis.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure/AWS and cloud cost management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience preparing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- English language proficiency at minimum B2 level.
- You should be comfortable communicating professionally in either Slovak or Czech.

##Desirable Requirements##

- Knowledge of Azure/AWS Billing and Cost Management.
- Experience with Azure/AWS Billing APIs.
- Knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and Jira, including automation.
- Experience with Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing solutions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric.
- Understanding of FinOps frameworks, governance, and cloud financial management best practices.

Individual contributor role within the Consumer & IoT Cloud Solutions, focused on providing deep domain expertise, supporting strategic initiatives, business and technical objectives. The role does not include direct people management responsibilities and emphasizes individual impact, cross-functional collaboration and delivering results through expertise and influence.
