Production Supervisor - Smart Factory project

About the role:

Convatec is launching an ambitious Smart Factory initiative to modernize manufacturing facilities and processes. Production Supervisor Smart Factory is required to contribute for successful training staff, implementation and management industry 4.0 directly in production with the aim to achieve a high-level of maturity.

Your key duties and responsibilities as a Production Supervisor:

• Daily Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day activities of operators and technicians to ensure smooth and high performance operations.

• Training and Development: Creating the MES training material. Provide theoretical training and on-job training on new technologies and processes when the MES system is implemented to operators and technicians.

• Performance Monitoring: Evaluate the performance of staff and provide feedback for improvement.

• Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed.

• Technical Support: Assist operators and technicians with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

• Coordination with Other Departments: Support during process flow maps creation  for various processes. Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment and smooth implementation of smart factory technologies. Contribute/manage trial activities. Work with the wider Smart Factory team (IT and Business) to ensure frictionless adoption of the MES product. Support the Smart Factory in testing the MES. Support the Smart Factory team in defining and delivering MES training.

• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of operations and prepare reports for management. Provide input into the prioritisation and delivery of the project backlog

•  Performance Evaluation: They are responsible for evaluating the performance of operators and technicians, providing feedback, and implementing improvement plans.

• Technical Guidance: Supervisors provide support and guidance, helping operators and technicians troubleshoot and resolve issues.

• Reporting: They are responsible for preparing and presenting reports on operational performance, issues, and progress to higher management.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

About you:

• Technical Knowledge: Advantage is understanding of smart factory technologies and their applications also  data analysis and data visualization experience

• Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team of operators and technicians.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication skills for training and coordinating with staff. The ability communicate and collaborate cross departments
• Experience in Manufacturing: Prior experience with Industry 4.0 and MES in a manufacturing or industrial setting is beneficial. Manufacturing Processes experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office

Qualifications/Education:

• Advantage, but not mandatory - 2-5 years working experience in industrial / manufacturing sector

• Advantage, but not mandatory - knowledge of Industry 4.0 and MES implementation/operation.
  
• Technical field of study - high school or university education

• English - at least B1 (intermediate)​

• Slovak - C2 (proficient)
