Business Development Manager – Defence & Aerospace

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategy for Defence & Aerospace in the Czech Republic

• Identify and pursue opportunities with:

- Czech defence companies
- Aerospace OEMs and Tier suppliers
- Government and public sector institutions
- Research organizations and universities

• Build relationships with key stakeholders within:

- NATO programs and agencies
- European defence initiatives and funding programs (EDF / ERA / Horizon Europe)

• Support preparation of consortiums and proposals for European defence funding projects
• Identify opportunities for Akkodis engineering services including:

- systems engineering
- testing & validation
- software engineering
- digital engineering and simulation
- embedded systems and cybersecurity

• Develop strategic partnerships with local industrial partners and integrators
• Collaborate with Akkodis delivery teams across Europe to build competitive solutions
• Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract signature

Your Experience and Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development or sales in Defence or Aerospace industry
• Strong understanding of European defence funding programs (EDF, ERA, Horizon Europe or similar)
• Experience with NATO-related projects, procurement, or agencies
• Strong network within the Czech defence and aerospace ecosystem
• Experience building international project consortiums
• Ability to sell engineering services or technology solutions
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• Fluent in Czech and English

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with defence companies, system integrators or engineering service providers
• Knowledge of EU defence innovation programs and funding mechanisms
• Understanding of defence procurement processes and industrial cooperation
