About this role

Are you a student looking to gain hands-on experience while balancing your study commitments? As a Part-Time Web QA Engineer/Developer on our team, you’ll support our Quality Assurance activities for web-based applications, primarily focusing on GUI testing using Cypress or other testing libraries. You’ll also have opportunities to contribute to front-end development using React. This role is designed to be less complex than our full-time positions, with flexible working hours that fit around your class schedule.

Core responsibilities:

• plan and run basic test cases for our web user interfaces using Cypress
• develop and maintain automated test scripts to catch regressions and ensure a smooth user experience
• implement minor front-end features or bug fixes in React if you’re comfortable with coding
• document issues clearly, collaborating with developers to reproduce and resolve them
• use our internal tools to track bugs, issues, and feature requests
• help ensure our user guides are accurate and up-to-date with tested features
• regularly sync with QA, development, and project teams to stay on top of deadlines and objectives

Requirements:

• currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Software Engineering, etc.)
• English at an upper-intermediate (B2) level or higher
• a keen interest in web technologies and how modern applications are built and tested
• familiarity with software testing processes and a basic understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• basic Linux skills and a grasp of fundamental software testing processes

Nice to have:

• familiarity with UX/UI design, Python, C++, testing libraries (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Google Tests), or version control (Git)
• any prior exposure to Cypress for testing or React for development is a bonus, but willingness to learn is key!
