Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

The manufacturing site in Nitra region, Slovakia is a strategic flagship location within the group’s network and is currently in a period of substantial growth. The site is executing an ongoing CAPEX investment programme focused on capacity increase, process/technology upgrades, and operational industrialisation. This investment is directly linked to the company’s growth targets and long-term competitiveness.

The Managing Director (Plant Manager) will take full ownership of this transformation and scale-up, combining end-to-end operational leadership with full P&L accountability and statutory / legal representation for the site. The role is designed for a leader who can deliver rapid performance uplift while building a robust organisation capable of sustaining higher volumes, higher complexity, and world-class execution.

Key Accountabilities:

End-to-End Site Leadership & P&L Ownership

  • Full responsibility for site performance:safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and cash.
  • Own the site budget, forecasting, cost control, working capital, and investment planning.
  • Translate group strategy into an executable site plan with clear milestones and measurable outcomes.

CAPEX Execution & Industrialisation

  • Lead the site’sinvestment program: scope definition, business cases, timelines, commissioning, and ramp-up.
  • Ensure robust project governance, risk management, contractor safety, and operational readiness.
  • Drive industrialisation and process capability improvements to sustain higher volumes and tighter tolerances.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish a rigorous operating system (tier meetings, KPI discipline, root-cause problem solving).
  • Implement and scale Lean / CI tools (e.g., 5S, SMED, VSM, Kaizen, TPM, 8D, FMEA) to reduce waste and increase throughput.
  • Strengthen performance management and accountability across the organisation.

Quality Leadership & Customer Performance

  • Ensure world-class product quality and compliance with customer specifications and internal standards.
  • Drive prevention-based quality: capability, controls, and disciplined corrective/preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with commercial and technical teams to support customer needs, audits, and critical escalations.

Supply Chain, Planning & Service Reliability

  • Lead S&OP execution at plant level: demand planning, production planning, inventory, and service.
  • Improve material flow, supplier performance, and logistics reliability in line with growth and delivery expectations.
  • Implement data-driven planning and reporting; strengthen systems adoption where applicable (e.g., ERP/MES).

People, Culture & Leadership Pipeline

  • Build a strong, cohesive leadership team; coach department heads and develop succession plans.
  • Create a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain constructive employee relations and ensure robust organisational capability for growth.

EHS, Governance & Legal Representation

  • Set uncompromising EHS standards and ensure full regulatory compliance (safety, environmental, labour).
  • Act as the site’s legal representative, ensuring adherence to corporate governance and local statutory requirements.
  • Provide clear, concise reporting to senior leadership on performance, risks, and priorities

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

Experience & Leadership

  • Proven senior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (Plant Manager / Operations Director / Managing Director).
  • Demonstrated track record of improving operational KPIs and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience leading transformation, scale-up, turnaround, or major investment / CAPEX projects is strongly preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with full P&L exposure and disciplined cost management.

Technical & Methodological Strength

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, maintenance/engineering, quality systems, and supply chain.
  • Hands-on knowledge of continuous improvement methods and structured problem solving (Lean, 8D, 5S, FMEA, etc.).
  • Experience with ERP and manufacturing systems (e.g., SAP / MES) is an advantage.

Education & Languages

  • University degree (Industrial / Mechanical / Chemical Engineering or similar) is advantageous.
  • Slovak (B2+) and English (B2+)—spoken and written.

  • Stabilised performance rhythm with clear KPI ownership and improved delivery reliability.
  • CAPEX program governed tightly: milestones achieved, safe execution, and successful ramp-up.
  • Measurable improvements in productivity, scrap/rework, downtime, and cost-to-serve.
  • Strengthened leadership team and a visible culture shift toward ownership and continuous improvement
