Associate, Dispute Resolution

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Associate to join our Dispute Resolution team. The ideal candidate will have two-three years of experience in litigation and arbitration as an associate and a strong interest in working on complex, high‑profile disputes in both domestic and international contexts.

This role requires strong technical legal skills, a sound commercial mindset, and experience advising clients across a broad range of contentious matters, including court proceedings and arbitration. You will work closely with colleagues across practice areas and jurisdictions, contributing to sophisticated local and cross‑border cases.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic and ambitious team, gain exposure to complex disputes, and work with leading clients on significant matters.

Key responsibilities

• Working on high‑profile international arbitrations, as well as local and cross‑border litigation,
• Providing a full range of dispute resolution services across commercial, civil, administrative and regulatory proceedings, including matters relating to compliance and white‑collar crime,
• Collaborating closely with other practice groups, including corporate, banking & finance, real estate, regulatory and other teams,
• Managing, coordinating, and supervising the work of junior team members,
• Supporting the broader team in business development and raising the firm’s profile,
• Building professional client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor,
• Actively participating in marketing activities, conferences, and business development events.

Requirements

• Slovak‑qualified lawyer with a Master of Laws degree from a Slovak Faculty of Law,
• 2–3 years of full‑time experience as an advocate, preceded by three years of experience as a concipient, with a focus on Dispute Resolution,
• Practical experience in court hearings and arbitration proceedings,
• Excellent Slovak and English written and verbal communication skills,
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail,
• A commercial and solution‑oriented mindset, with strong interpersonal, administrative and time‑management skills,
• Ability to multi‑task, work under pressure and manage competing deadlines,
• Experience in other practice areas (e.g. corporate, public procurement, real estate or competition) is an advantage,
• Advantage: prior experience in a leading international or highly recognized regional law firm.
