Landbased Slot Platform QA Engineer

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

Join SYNOT Games as a Landbased Slot Platform QA Engineer and help ensure the quality and reliability of our slot platform for land-based venues. You'll test software and hardware solutions, track down defects, and work closely with developers to make sure our products meet strict regulatory and quality standards.

Responsibilities  

• Functional testing – manually test platform functionality including projector rendering, lobby UI, SAS protocol behaviour, RNG operation, service menu, game integration, and hardware communication; execute test cases per the test plan  

• Integration testing – test integration between platform components and games integrated from the Studio; verify end-to-end gameplay directly on terminal hardware  

• Regression testing – execute regression test suites after code changes; maintain regression checklists and report any regressions found  

• Certification testing support – execute certification test cases and collect test evidence in the format required by certification bodies  

• Defect reporting – log defects with clear, reproducible steps, classify initial severity, and verify fixes after developer resolution  

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation and evidence in Azure DevOps Server  

• Collaborate daily with the QA Team Lead, backend and frontend developers on defect triage and fix verification

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

Required Skills 

Must-Have

• 2+ years of experience in software or hardware QA/testing (professional level; junior candidates with strong fundamentals also considered)  

• Solid understanding of manual testing methodology – test case design, test execution, exploratory testing  

• Comfortable testing physical/embedded hardware, not only screen-based software (e.g. terminals, kiosks, electromechanical devices, or similar)  

• Experience writing clear, reproducible defect reports and working with a bug-tracking tool (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira)  

• Ability to read and work from technical documentation and test plans  

• Attention to detail and methodical approach to regression and certification testing  

• Good spoken and written English (team and vendor documentation is in English)  

• Willingness to work on-site with physical slot machine terminals (lab/hardware environment, not fully remote)  

    

Nice to Have  

• Experience testing gaming, lottery, or slot machine equipment (e.g. SAS protocol, RNG-based systems)  

• Background in the iGaming, casino, or land-based gambling equipment industry  

• Familiarity with certification/compliance testing (e.g. for gaming authorities or independent test labs)  

• Basic knowledge of test automation concepts (even if the role itself is manual-first)  

• Experience with Azure DevOps Server or a similar ALM/test-management tool  

• Technical curiosity about embedded systems, electronics, or hardware-software interaction
