Deputy Head of R&D (m/f)

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

We are looking for an innovative and visionary leader to join our team as an R&D Deputy. In this role, you will combine a strong technical background with excellent management skills. You will work closely with the Head of R&D, support the leadership of our team of experts, and help shape the strategic direction of our Research and Development department. Position Summary

• direct reporting to Head of R&D of the company

• creating and implementing strategies for new product development, process improvement, and technology advancement

• manage R&D budgets, lead technical teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional departments and external partners to maintain a company's competitive edge

• coordination of individual projects and participation in their technical and organizational solutions

• strategic planning within R&D departments

• responsibility for planning, timetable and workflow of projects

• keeping deadlines

• responsibility for work results of the R&D employees

• planning the trainings as necessary

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute R&D roadmaps aligned with overall business goals and growth initiatives.

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of product research, design, development, and launch.

• Manage, mentor, and build high-performing teams of scientists and engineers.

• Develop and manage R&D operating budgets, allocating resources effectively.

• Establish partnerships with academic institutions, consultants, and customers while ensuring regulatory compliance and IP protection.

• Monitor industry trends and competitor technologies to inform development strategies.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

• University degree in a technical or engineering field.

• Proven experience working within an R&D department.

• Strong technical thinking and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

• Excellent communication skills, high performance, and a strong sense of responsibility.

• English language proficiency at a communicative level (at least B2).
