​Multiskilled technician  - 6 months contract

As a multi skilled maintenance engineer you will carry out PPM and reactive activities on client properties across a diverse portfolio of buildings. Some installation work may be expected, although the core part of the role is maintenance.  The role is predominantly multi-skilled, with experience of Building Services.

 This is a hands-on role and would suit an individual that can work using their own initiative and have a proactive approach to undertake all tasks required.  A conscientious and reliable team player and someone that has excellent interpersonal and communication skills due to this being a client facing role.

Key Responsibilities

Core Maintenance Responsibilities: 

• Carry out reactive maintenance repairs across client properties

• Assess and order parts and equipment necessary for individual tasks

• Work to recognized industry standards at all times

• Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximize efficient operation and reliability of plant

System Management: 

• Update and close completed Reactive & PPM tasks on the CAFM System

• Update on-site log books for compliance purposes

• Provide detailed and accurate reports for any remedial works required while attending site

• Produce technical and situational reports as required

Health & Safety: 

• Ensure that both Client and JLL Health and Safety procedures are followed at all times

• Ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects

• Complete on-site Method Statements and Risk Assessments as necessary

• Escort subcontractors as required

Professional Development: 

• Undertake training as required to perform the duties of the role, including health and safety courses and further trade development, to maintain current knowledge and professional qualifications (Continued Professional Development)

Additional Duties: 

• Assist other trades as and when required • Inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with call-outs/repairs as required and/or requested by management

• Keep and maintain all company-issued tools in safe and working condition

• Undertake any other duties as directed by Managers within the remit of the role

Skills & Experience Required

• Knowledge of building fabric and experience in carrying out basic fabric reactive repairs when required.

• Extensive Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations.

• Ability to act on own initiative.

• Smart appearance, presentable

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Slovak

• Comfortable working within a team environment and able to contribute to teams success whilst willingly following instructions

• Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised

• Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements, willing to accept change.

Multi-skilled Technician Specifications

• Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements, willing to accept change.

• Repairs or replaces plumbing fixtures, tests joints and pipe systems.

• Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings

• Install, repair and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures (such as sinks, toilets, and water heater) across client’s properties.

• Adhere to all plumbing codes and regulations

• Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other professionals during construction works

• Completes light constructions, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and small electrical works (e.g. light bulbs replacement) as required

• Carry out PPM tasks, such as emergency light testing, fire alarm testing, tap temperature testing and flushing, Fan Coil servicing, AC/AHU filter replacement and cleaning, functional testing and visual inspection of equipment.

• Maintains tools and machinery in good condition and uses all tools in a safety-conscious manner.

• Prepare quotes/cost estimates for the client

• Ensure all work meets safety standards and follows best practices

• Explains to the client each service performed each time a maintenance or repair is completed and ensures complete customer satisfaction.
