Payments Officer - banking

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Payments Officer to join our growing Operations team.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in payment operations who thrives in a fast-paced international environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely execution of domestic and international payments while working closely with Finance, Compliance and Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process, authorise and verify payment transactions, including SEPA, SWIFT and foreign exchange (FX) payments.

• Monitor payment schedules to ensure timely execution of transactions across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.

• Handle payment-related enquiries and resolve operational issues and discrepancies.

• Maintain accurate transaction records and prepare reconciliation, reporting and audit documentation.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Compliance and Operations, to ensure efficient payment workflows.

• Support the onboarding and testing of new payment service providers and banking partners.

• Identify opportunities to improve payment processes, controls and operational efficiency.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

• Previous experience in Payments Operations, Banking, FinTech or Financial Services.

• Knowledge of SEPA, SWIFT and international payment processes.

• Understanding of foreign exchange (FX) transactions.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

• Ability to work accurately under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.

• Good command of English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with payment service providers or banking partners.

• Experience within a regulated financial institution or FinTech environment.

• Familiarity with reconciliation, audit processes and operational controls.
