Customs specialist

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

The Specialist of Customs Services and Sales Activities is responsible for implementing, managing, and controlling company processes related to customs compliance and logistics activities, especially for shipments to third countries. This role requires deep understanding of customs procedures, regulatory frameworks, and international trade rules.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and monitor internal processes to ensure full compliance with customs regulations for export operations, including the preparation and management of documents related to customs.
2. Analyze, verify, and maintain accurate HS tariff classifications based on data gathered from technical drawings, technical data sheets, and product specifications.
3. Monitor and optimize transportation processes across various domestic and international freight modes (air, sea, road, rail), while ensuring continuous alignment with changing customs legislation and accuracy of related data.
4. Conduct regular internal audits to identify compliance gaps, propose corrective measures, and ensure overall process integrity.
5. Manage suppliers’ long‑term declarations and ensure their accuracy in accordance with international trade regulations.
6. Provide customers with shipment‑related support, updates, and documentation.
7. Coordinate and maintain required supplier certifications (e.g., ISO certificates, part quality certifications).
8. Manage various declarations including suppliers’ declarations of product origin, Slovak Chamber of Commerce confirmations of origin, invoice origin statements, and related documentation.
