BI / Database Developer

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:
We are looking for a BI / Database Developer to join our data & analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and optimizing data solutions that power reporting, analytics, and decision-making across the company. You will work with SQL, data models, and orchestration tools to ensure reliable, accurate, and timely data for business consumption.

This position is suitable for candidates with some professional experience in BI or database development who are eager to grow their skills. You don’t need to be senior – we value curiosity, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to learning and improving.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL procedures, queries, and data pipelines.
- Design and enhance BI data models to support reporting and analytics.
- Apply data modeling methodologies (e.g., Kimball, dimensional modeling) to deliver scalable and consistent solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production activities, ensuring high reliability and data accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and automate existing processes.
- Build and manage data orchestration workflows across multiple systems (e.g., using Airflow).
- Prepare, transform, and validate data for BI and analytics consumption (Power BI, Qlik).
- Collaborate with international teams – English proficiency is required.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:
- Hands-on experience with SQL (queries, stored procedures, optimization).
- Some experience with data modeling for BI and analytics.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration tools (Airflow experience preferred).
- Familiarity with data methodologies such as Kimball and dimensional modeling.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- English language proficiency (written and spoken) for cross-team collaboration.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, able to work in cross-functional teams.
- Nice to Have: Experience with Python or scripting for data workflows; familiarity with Databricks or other modern data platforms; knowledge of BI visualization tools (Power BI, Qlik).
