Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:
The Junior Accountant for General Accounting Tax Operations ensures timely, accurate and compliant service delivery for all General Accounting Tax Operations transactions assigned to his role.
Major tasks and responsibilities on this position include:
• Support of the day to day General Accounting Tax Operations activities for the following process areas:
- Support the tax set-up
- Perform plausibility checks on transactional accounting data
- Follow-up activities related to General Accounting Tax Operations plausibility checks
- Support the preparation of different Tax reports
- Check proper system functionality after system maintenance
- General Accounting Tax Operations activities for other local taxes
• Assists and supports ad-hoc requests.
• Ensures the understanding and compliant service delivery across Covestro AG of agreed policies and procedures.
• Understands service level agreements and key performance indicators for General Accounting Tax Operations related processes.
• Supports team members to achieve performance and quality standards as defined in relevant service level agreements.
• Assists the implementation of initiatives for improving the efficiency and/or effectiveness of the General Accounting Tax Operations transaction processing.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:
• High school degree or equivalent experience, preferable in accounting or business.
• Some years of experience in a similar role is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Preferable experience in Tax Operations processes (in a complex and international business environment would be of advantage).
• Basic knowledge of Finance and Accounting end-to-end processes.
• Extensive knowledge of MS Excel, knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Team player, but able to work independently.
• Ability to adapt to new cultures and people.
• Strong service orientation: strong commitment to customer orientation and understanding of customer needs.
• Highly motivated and eager to learn.
• Good communication skills.
• Business proficient English.
