HSE Specialist

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems

• Drive continuous improvement in occupational health, safety, and environmental policies

• Conduct onboarding and regular safety and fire protection training for employees

• Investigate incidents and accidents, including emergency situations

• Apply legal changes, audit findings, and internal standards into daily operations

• Keep records, conduct evaluations and statistics, and ensure regular reporting in HSE areas

• Develop and update emergency plans, operational rules, and risk assessments

• Provide expert consultation to department heads

• Update internal directives, procedures, and forms, and ensure compliance

• Analyze causes of work accidents and implement corrective and preventive measures (incl. lessons learned)

• Perform Fire Protection Technician duties according to Slovak law 314/2001 Z.z.

• Ensure maintenance and control of firefighting equipment

• Liaise with Labour Inspectorate and Fire Department

• Perform duties of a Safety Technician according to law 124/2006 Z.z.

• Organize and evaluate preventive fire inspections

• Perform workplace inspections, hazard identification, risk analysis, and internal audits

• Communicate with authorities and support machinery commissioning

• Maintain regular contact with company HQ and sister plants

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE and fire protection

• Higher vocational education

• Valid certificates:

  • Certified Occupational Safety Technician (Bezpečnostný technik)

  • Certified Fire Protection Technician (Technik PO)

  • Internal Auditor for ISO 45001 (H&S)

  • Internal Auditor for ISO 14001 (Environment)

• Communicative knowledge of English or German

• Strong sense of responsibility, independence, initiative, and flexibility

• Precise, proactive, and motivated personality
