Material Planning Leader (Automotive)

In automotive, material planning is often seen through KPIs and daily urgencies.
But the real value lies elsewhere — in consistency, predictability, and the quality of service delivered to production and customers.

We’re looking for a Material Planning Leader who understands that great planning isn’t just about numbers — it’s about building a system that works smoothly, sustainably, and with trust.

Your role

• Monitor material coverage and stock levels to prevent line stoppages
• Follow up with suppliers on deliveries, delays, and recovery plans
• Adjust planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, reorder points) based on real demand
• Coordinate with production on changes in schedule, priorities, or volumes
• Handle escalations in a structured way — with focus on root cause, not just quick fixes
• Support S&OP / demand planning inputs with realistic data from operations
• Work with the team on daily priorities and ensure clear task ownership
• Identify risks in the supply chain early and act before they impact production

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

• Around 5+ years of experience in material planning, supply chain, or logistics — ideally within automotive (OEM or Tier 1)
• Previous team leadership experience (formal or informal), with the ability to guide and develop people
• Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes in a production environment
• Hands-on experience with SAP (MM / PP or similar modules); advanced Excel is a plus
• Comfortable working with planning parameters, forecasting, inventory management, and supplier communication
• Strong analytical thinking combined with the ability to make clear, well-grounded decisions
• Able to communicate effectively across functions (production, procurement, logistics)
• Fluent in English (daily communication); other languages are a plus
