Make or Buy Senior Specialist

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

We are looking for a Make or Buy Senior Specialist, who will drive Nidec’s cost excellence by providing reliable and precise data to support make vs buy strategic and tactical decisions for Automotive (AMEC) and Appliance (ACIM) in different countries. You will partner with buyers, operations and logistic specialists of both BUs, to shape a proposal of make vs buy strategy for different manufacturing processes/components/countries and ensure Nidec’s competitiveness.

Main responsibilites:

• Act as the central reference point for Procurement, collaborating with Operations and Logistics on high-impact Make vs Buy decisions.
• Lead the Make vs Buy team for all cost analyses, driving best decisions through a super-functional view beyond the procurement scope.
• Prioritize strategic analyses based on manufacturing processes, components, and geographical regions (AMEC/ACIM).
• Perform detailed Should Cost and Best Cost analyses for both Make and Buy scenarios across all manufacturing processes and cost drivers.
• Collect and meticulously analyze quotations from both internal plants and external suppliers, comparing them against Should Cost benchmarks.
• Partner with R&D and Logistics to accurately incorporate all relevant costs (packaging, transport, duties).
• Challenge the status quo and current cost drivers to identify potential improvements and define strategies to achieve Should/Best Cost targets.

• Gather Capex/Opex data and define costs for immobilized capital and warehousing.
• Prepare clear, concise summaries and strategic recommendations for the leadership team.
• Ensure timely completion of all analyses and agreed actions.
• Develop and implement standard templates for quotations and analyses to ensure accuracy and clarity.
