Senior QA Engineer

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

We are now looking for Senior Backend QA Engineer to join the Moxymind team to work on a long term projects for one of our clients operating in the heavy machinery industry. You will be part of cross-functional team, working on software testing solutions that ensure quality, reliability, and scalability. Depending on your experience and skill set, you’ll be assigned to a project where you can make the greatest impact.

As a Backend QA Engineer with us you will:

• Ensure the quality of backend services and APIs through both manual and automated testing.
• Design, implement, and execute functional, integration, regression, and performance tests.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to create and maintain effective test cases.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to resolve issues and improve test coverage.
• Build and maintain test plans, automation scripts, and testing frameworks using Karate.
• Document and report defects, testing progress, and results in a clear and structured way.
• Work in an Agile environment with CI/CD best practices and modern DevOps tools.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

Tech stack (preferred/nice to have):

• Testing Frameworks & Tools: Karate (primary), Postman, Wiremock, JUnit, Cucumber.
• Programming & Automation: Python, Java, or JavaScript (basic scripting knowledge).
• API Testing: REST APIs, API gateways (Apigee or similar), backend microservices testing.
• Databases: SQL or other relational databases.
• CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, Git, experience with automated testing in pipelines.
• Other: Experience with HCL Commerce is a strong advantage. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or others) is a plus.

What we expect from you:

• At least 5+ years of QA experience with proven leadership or mentoring skills for Senior roles.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining backend automation frameworks (preferably in Karate).
• Strong understanding of API testing principles and test data management.
• Proactive, analytical, and communicative team player with strong attention to detail.
