Role Overview - This position holds full accountability for the performance, scalability, and strategic development of the smalldistribution entity in Zohor. This role combines executive oversight with a deep operational understanding, ensuring that both day-to-day execution and long-term growth objectives are aligned.

While maintaining a strong presence within the operation, the MD/Head of operations’s primary responsibility is to build, lead, and optimize a high-performing organization, ensuring efficiency, financial discipline, and operational excellence across all functions.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Leadership

• Owns and drives the overall operational strategy, aligning execution with shareholder objectives.
• Translates business goals into scalable processes, systems, and KPIs.
• Oversees full warehouse, logistics, and supply chain operations, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Ensures the organization evolves from a hands-on setup to a structured, process-driven operation.

Financial Ownership & Performance Management

• Holds full responsibility for P&L performance of the distribution entity.
• Leads budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Monitors working capital, cash flow, and debtor management.
• Implements financial controls and reporting structures to support decision-making.
• Reports monthly to shareholders with clear performance insights and strategic recommendations.

Team Leadership & Organizational Development

• Builds and leads a high-performance management structure, ensuring clear roles, accountability, and ownership.
• Recruits, develops, and retains key talent, including future team leads and supervisors.
• Establishes a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Shifts the organization from dependency on individuals to scalable team-based execution.
• Oversees performance management, training, and leadership development.

Logistics, Supply Chain & Infrastructure

• Oversees all warehouse and logistics activities, ensuring:
• Efficient inbound and outbound flows
• Optimized inventory management
• Reliable third-party logistics partnerships
• Negotiates and manages key supplier and transport contracts.
• Drives continuous optimization of warehouse layout, workflows, and throughput.
• Ensures operational scalability to support future growth.

Systems, Process Optimization & Compliance

• Leads the optimization of ERP and operational systems.
• Establishes standardized processes across operations, finance, and administration.
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory, safety, and operational requirements.
• Drives data-driven decision-making through reporting and performance tracking.

Stakeholder & External Relations

• Acts as primary operational point of contact for:
• Shareholders
• Key suppliers and partners
• Landlords and service providers
• Maintains strong external relationships to support business continuity and growth.
• Provides structured updates and strategic input to the board.
