Data Engineer (Databricks Platform)

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

• Build and enhance scalable data solutions using Databricks, PySpark, and Delta Lake technologies.
• Oversee and optimize a centralized framework for data ingestion processes.
• Create and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for reliable data integration.
• Investigate and solve data quality issues together with stakeholders and data users.
• Implement monitoring tools and frameworks to ensure high data quality standards.
• Explore and integrate new Databricks functionalities to improve platform performance and capabilities.
• Support the development of infrastructure-as-code standards and CI/CD automation practices.
• Guide less experienced colleagues and encourage knowledge exchange across the team.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

2–5 years of experience in the recent years in data engineering or a similar role.
Recent active and direct work experience with SQL and Python for data processing, transformation, and analysis & with Databricks and/or PySpark (Delta Lake, Spark SQL, structured streaming).
Good understanding and expertise in data ingestion patterns, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling fundamentals.
Experience with software engineering best practices: version control (Git), code reviews, CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably MS Azure.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Clear verbal and written communication; ability to interact with both technical and business stakeholders.
Systematic, collaborative approach with a continuous learning mindset.
Solid documentation practices.
English professional proficiency

Nice to have:
HashiCorp Terraform, DataOps/MLOps practices, Unity Catalog, workflow orchestration tools.
German language
