Experienced Financial Accountant

We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to manage and oversee key accounting functions in our Czech operations. The ideal candidate will have deep local knowledge of Czech accounting standards, and have experience in statutory reporting, IFRS reporting, tax compliance, and year-end closing processes.

What is the role about?

• Posting transactions related to general ledger (GL)
• Posting transactions related to accounts payable (AP)
• Posting fixed asset transactions and maintaining the asset register
• Booking cash and petty cash transactions
• Preparing financial reports and tax returns
• Participating in monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings (IFRS and local GAAP)
• Actively contributing to internal and external audits
• Performing tax compliance tasks (VAT, Corporate Tax, Local Taxes, etc.)
• Providing professional support to internal departments and other stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with local accounting legislation and internal policies
• How does the ideal candidate look like?

Education in economic or financial field or relevant

• At least 3 years of experience in accounting roles
• Strong knowledge of Czech & IFRS accounting standards and regulations
• Hands-on experience with statutory reporting and year-end closing
• Solid understanding of taxation and governmental reporting
• Proficiency in ERP systems (D365, SAP, Navision, or similar is an advantage)
• Strong Excel skills
• Fluency in Czech, and at least B1 level English
