Mechanical Development Engineer

We are looking for a new colleague for the position of Mechanical Development Engineer in the R&D team of our Prague branch of the Swiss company Bühler Group.

What you’ll do:

• Technical changes, modifications, improvements of machines and components used in food processing
• Create 3D models, drawings, and BOMs (Autodesk Inventor, Windchill)
• Support lifecycle managers on international projects
• Collaborate with colleagues across Bühler’s global network worldwide

Who we’re looking for:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or technical diploma with relevant experience)
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design
• Proficiency with any 2D/3D CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.)
• Fluent in English (B2+)

Bonus skills (not required, but great to have):

• Experience with sheet metal design and related manufacturing processes
• Ability to perform mechanical calculations (FEM, strength, fatigue)
• Familiarity with pressure vessel design and regulations (PED, ASME)
