Service Engineer

GT Pack is an engineering company operating in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. We develop and supply machinery and integrated solutions for product feeding, dosing, packaging, product inspection, case packing, conveying and palletising.

We are strengthening our technical team and are looking for a reliable Service Engineer to install, commission and support machinery at customer production sites. You will work closely with our project engineers, customers and international machinery manufacturers across the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Key responsibilities
· Installation and commissioning. Install, set up, test and commission machinery and equipment at customer sites, working with project managers and supplier technicians.

· Maintenance and troubleshooting. Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults and carry out repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and automation systems within your qualifications.

· Technical customer support. Provide remote and on-site assistance, including emergency service when required. Coordinate with machinery manufacturers on diagnostics, spare parts and warranty issues.

· Operator training. Train customer operators and maintenance staff in machine operation, settings, routine care and safe working procedures.

· Service documentation. Prepare accurate service reports, record completed work and outstanding issues, and recommend maintenance measures and necessary spare parts.

· Project support. Assist with installation planning, equipment checks and acceptance tests. Follow site safety requirements and applicable customer hygiene procedures.

Requirements
· Technical education in electrical engineering, electronics, mechanics, mechatronics or a related field.

· Practical ability to read drawings and schematics and troubleshoot industrial equipment. Previous machinery service or maintenance experience is an advantage.

· Knowledge of sensors, drives, pneumatics and PLC or HMI diagnostics is an advantage. Packaging machinery experience is welcome.

· A responsible approach to safety, clear customer communication and the ability to organise work independently.

· Czech or Slovak for local customer communication, and good written and spoken English for technical documentation and supplier support.

· Valid Category B driving licence and readiness to travel, with flexibility for customer breakdowns and occasional training abroad.
