Main Mission of the Job

The Strategic Buyer is responsible for managing key supplier relationships and contributing to the development and implementation of commodity sourcing strategies. The role supports new product introduction processes and initiates value-adding procurement activities within Meopta. It involves independently handling complex administrative, economic, commercial, technical, and personnel agendas, including technical documentation, investment projects, and methodology development.

Key Responsibilities

• · Manage strategic sourcing and supplier relationships
• · Participate in new product introduction and supplier onboarding
• · Initiate and manage value-adding procurement initiatives
• · Conduct supplier evaluations and audits
• · Negotiate and manage contracts and commercial terms
• · Support cost management and procurement strategy execution
• · Maintain accurate documentation and ERP system records
• · Collaborate with internal departments to ensure process efficiency
• · Ensure compliance with safety and legal standards
• · Contribute to continuous improvement and team development

Skills and Experience Required

• · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics or Engineering
• · 4–6 years of experience in procurement or commercial roles
• · Strong communication and negotiation skills
• · High level of independence and stress management
• · Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
• · Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• · Knowledge of procurement processes, pricing, and contract management
• · Understanding of technical documentation and acceptance criteria
• · Familiarity with ISO standards and audit procedures
• · Fluent in English and Czech
